Creating a Visit

  1. Open the Job

  2. Create a Visit

  3. Set:

    • date/time window (or slot)

    • assigned Engineer (if not already)

    • visit notes (access, parking, contact)

Once created, the Job should show Visit Added.

Rescheduling a Visit (cleanly)

  • Update the Visit (don’t create a duplicate)

  • Add a note explaining why it changed

  • Make sure the client-facing schedule is updated (if client access is enabled)

Multi-visit Jobs (best practice)

  • Visit 1: diagnose + evidence + next steps

  • Put the job on hold if waiting on parts/approval

  • Create Visit 2 once ready → Job returns to Visit Added

Avoid

  • Multiple Visits created for the same time slot accidentally

  • Leaving an old Visit in place after rescheduling (creates confusion)
