Open the Job
Create a Visit
Set:
date/time window (or slot)
assigned Engineer (if not already)
visit notes (access, parking, contact)
Once created, the Job should show Visit Added.
Rescheduling a Visit (cleanly)
Update the Visit (don’t create a duplicate)
Add a note explaining why it changed
Make sure the client-facing schedule is updated (if client access is enabled)
Multi-visit Jobs (best practice)
Visit 1: diagnose + evidence + next steps
Put the job on hold if waiting on parts/approval
Create Visit 2 once ready → Job returns to Visit Added
Avoid
Multiple Visits created for the same time slot accidentally
Leaving an old Visit in place after rescheduling (creates confusion)
